Gridfinity for Bambu Lab: ready-made Bambu Studio project
For Bambu Lab printers, Gridmint delivers more than single STL files: a ready-made Bambu Studio project with every part of your drawer already placed on the plates – with the right printer, profile and, for labels, a pause for the color change. Open, check, print.
| Part | Details |
|---|---|
| Supported printers | A1 mini, A1, P1P, P1S, P2S, X1 Carbon / X1E, H2S, H2D (single nozzle) |
| Plates | parts arranged automatically; baseplate, bins and labeled bins on separate plates |
| Bed exclusion zone | on X1 and P1 the front-left area is kept clear |
| Profile | your chosen printer, “0.20mm Standard” and “Bambu PLA Basic” |
| Labels | pause for a filament change at the right layer – colored lettering without a multi-color printer |
The projects were checked in Bambu Studio for all eight printers and printed on a Bambu Lab printer.
From plan to print in one step
Once your drawer is planned, click “Open in slicer”. Gridmint creates the .3mf file and downloads it. A hint explains how to set up your browser once so .3mf files open automatically in Bambu Studio. After that it really is one click from plan to slicer.
Colored labels with one filament change
Gridmint engraves labels on the tabs and the size markings on special inserts. The project contains a pause at the right layer: the printer stops, you swap filament, and the lettering prints in a second color. No AMS needed – though it works with one, of course.
Plates that make sense
Gridmint arranges the parts so every plate is used well and nothing hangs over the edge. Baseplate parts, plain bins and labeled bins go on separate plates – so the color-change pause only affects the plates that need it. Large baseplates are already split to fit your bed.
Other printers and slicers
All other printers get a standard 3MF file with the parts on plates, plus every part as STL or STEP and everything as a ZIP (one 3MF per plate, all STLs and a checklist). OrcaSlicer should be able to open Bambu projects as well. If all parts fit on one plate, Gridmint also writes the color change in PrusaSlicer's format.
Print time, filament and cost up front
While you plan, Gridmint shows an estimate of print time, filament use and cost, based on 0.2 mm layers, two walls and 15% infill. The values are a rough estimate for orientation – your slicer shows the exact numbers.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AMS for colored labels?
No. The project contains a pause for a filament change. You swap the filament by hand and the lettering comes out in the second color.
Does it work with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
Yes. Gridmint splits baseplates to fit the 180 × 180 mm bed and spreads all parts across as many plates as needed.
Do I still need to set anything in Bambu Studio?
Printer, profile and filament are already set. Check the preview before printing and adjust filament or settings if you use something other than Bambu PLA Basic.
