Gridfinity bin generator

With Gridmint you design Gridfinity bins exactly the way you need them: set size and height, divide compartments, add a scoop and labels – all live in 3D. No CAD skills needed, free and right in your browser.

All bins follow the Gridfinity standard and fit any Gridfinity baseplate.

Divide compartments freely

Split the bin into columns and rows, tap a compartment to divide it or merge it with its neighbor, and drag dividers wherever you need them. Each compartment can get its own label (up to 24 compartments, up to 14 characters each in capital letters and digits, e.g. “M3 X 10”) – handy for screws, nuts and small parts.

Labels you can actually read

The label tab sits at the top of the back wall and its width is adjustable. Gridmint engraves the text directly – as well as the size markings on special inserts. For Bambu Lab printers, the ready-made Bambu Studio project then includes a pause for the color change – colored lettering without a multi-color printer.

Lids and stacking lip

With a stacking lip, bins can be stacked. A lid sits in the stacking lip and is exported as a separate part – flat, or – for whole-unit sizes – with a Gridfinity grid on top so more bins click onto it.

Special inserts and custom inserts

For items with a fixed shape there's a catalog of 200+ special inserts: batteries, SD cards, USB sticks, bits, drills, pens and much more. Gridmint picks the smallest bin that fits everything and can emboss sizes like “AA” or “3.5” next to the holes. For tools with irregular shapes, turn a photo into a snug custom insert.

One bin or a whole drawer

Design a single bin, or fill an entire drawer in the drawer planner and change several bins at once. Export as STL, STEP, 3MF or a ready-made Bambu Studio project, with an estimate of print time, filament and cost.

Frequently asked questions

How tall is one Gridfinity unit?

One height unit is 7 mm. A 6-unit bin is therefore 42 mm tall, measured from the bottom to the top edge without the stacking lip.

Do the bins fit baseplates from other makers?

Yes. Gridmint follows the dimensions of the reference project gridfinity-rebuilt. The bins fit any Gridfinity baseplate.

Do I need supports?

Usually not. Gridfinity bins are designed to print without supports.
