Gridfinity for Euro containers

Euro stacking containers are sturdy, stackable and found in almost every workshop and basement. A Gridfinity baseplate turns the box into organized storage. Gridmint’s templates fit the common Euro standard sizes.

Default clearance 0.5 mm per side. Height in 7 mm units, with the “Lattice” baseplate, stacking lip and 0.5 mm air, without a lid. Parts = baseplate split for the print bed. Height = usable height when stacked. Only for boxes with a smooth floor.

One template for Auer and BITO

Inner dimensions of Euro containers vary slightly by maker. BITO walls taper, so the floor is about 10 mm smaller than the opening. Gridmint therefore uses the smaller floor size. That way the baseplate fits boxes from both Auer and BITO, with the same number of units.

Smooth floor only

Gridfinity needs a flat floor. Euro containers with a smooth, closed floor – such as Auer EG or the standard BITO XL – work well. Boxes with a ribbed or perforated floor are not suitable.

Height when stacked

When Euro containers are stacked, the upper box reaches slightly into the lower one. The templates therefore use the usable height when stacked. If your boxes stand alone, you can enter a little more height in the planner.

Measure before printing: width and depth inside at the bottom, height from the bottom to the underside of whatever sits above when closed. If your numbers differ, enter them in the planner – Gridmint recalculates everything.
